SUPPORT

From first contact to final flight, we’ve got your back.

Support at Crux Expeditions isn’t a call centre or a checklist.

It’s a system designed to make sure you’re never figuring things out alone, before, during, or after your expedition.

We stay involved because expeditions don’t follow scripts.

Before You Go

Good support starts long before the plane takes off.

Once you’re booked, we stay closely involved through clear, structured pre departure communication. You’ll know what to expect, how to prepare, and what matters, without being buried in noise or vague timelines.

You’ll receive a detailed expedition pack covering your itinerary, kit requirements and destination specific guidance, along with clear advice on visas, vaccinations and travel insurance. You’ll be introduced to your expedition leader in advance, and given direct access to them for questions and preparation. All documents, updates and logistics are kept in one place through our online portal.

For many expeditions, preparation also includes an optional UK based training weekend. This isn’t about ticking boxes. It’s about building confidence, refining skills and ensuring you arrive ready rather than rushed.

Whether this is your first expedition or not, the aim is the same: calm preparation, done properly.

While You’re Out There

Once the expedition begins, our support doesn’t step back. This is where it matters most.

Every expedition operates with two layers of support. Your expedition leader manages decisions on the ground, from day to day logistics to group dynamics and safety. Alongside them, our UK based operations team monitors progress, checks in regularly and stands ready to advise, coordinate or intervene if something sits beyond what should be handled in the field.

This isn’t just about emergencies. It’s about the quiet problems that derail trips if they’re mishandled: delays, lost luggage, route changes, accommodation issues, unexpected closures or shifting local conditions.

Your leader is never making significant decisions in isolation. They have context, backup and support at all times.

You focus on the experience. We handle what happens around it.

After You Return

Our involvement doesn’t end when the expedition finishes.

Once you’re home, we remain available to help with insurance claims, documentation or follow up questions. If something didn’t go to plan, we deal with it directly and honestly. No brushing things aside, no disappearing once the boots are off.

Many people travel with us more than once. That’s not by chance. It’s because support feels consistent from start to finish, not transactional.

Why It Matters

Because when things go wrong, and sometimes they do, it isn’t the itinerary that matters. It’s the people behind it.

Because proper support reduces stress, delays and frustration, and increases time spent doing what you came for.

And because trusting a company with your time, safety and experience deserves to be taken seriously.

Support at Crux isn’t an extra.
It’s part of how expeditions are designed and delivered.
